Run for the Wall rolls up to Goodland Armory.

Run for the Wall (RFTW) XXXVIII is coming to Sherman County May 21. A dinner and program will be held at the Armory, 720 Armory Road. Sherman County citizens will again provide the riders’ dinner, serve them and offer them a warm welcome.

RFTW riders love coming to Sherman County. The community always puts out patriotic decorations and gives the riders an enthusiastic welcome.

Donna Price, Sherman County Convention and Visitors Bureau Executive Director has talked repeatedly with RFTW’s organizers. The event is coming together very well and RFTW is looking forward to returning to Goodland.

“We are so excited that the Run for the Wall is returning to Goodland yet again,” she said. “They’ve been coming to Sherman County for many years. We are grateful the community has been so supportive of the riders and their mission.”

Central Route begins in Ontario, Calif., May 18 and ends in Washington, D.C., May 27. RFTW will hold ceremonies at Arlington Cemetery and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial before joining in the Rolling Thunder Parade.

RFTW rides to promote healing of all veterans, their families and friends, to call for accounting for all prisoners of war and missing in action, to honor the memory of those killed in action from all wars and to support our military personnel around the world.
