Giant Van Gogh Painting

East HIghway 24 and Cherry

The Van Gogh Project features a reproduction of one of Vincent van Gogh’s seven sunflower paintings. The idea for the project is the brainchild of Canadian Artist, Cameron Cross. The painting is painted on a 24-foot by 32-foot canvas and sits on an easel which is nearly 80 feet tall. Always open.

Eight miles east on Highway 24 to County Road 28, then north 18 miles.

Great Western Cattle Trail

The cattle trail crossed Highway 27 at Road 79

The Wallace Branch of the Western Cattle Trail was the final branch in Kansas. Enjoy a reenactment cattle drive every Independence Day weekend. The Western Cattle Trail is under consideration as a National Historic Trail.
